Hatsumi Karimako

Hatsumi Karimako, born in Japan, is an internationally acclaimed scientist who first did her research work for the renowned Primate Research Institute of Kyoto University, studying the famous snow monkeys. But when the opportunity came up to study mountain gorillas, she didn't hesitate for a second and went to the Congo.

She loves the Rwenzori Mountains and is always enchanted by their beauties. But when sometimes she still feels a little nostalgia for Japan, she secretly dances Butoh, but no one will ever notice - except for the gorillas of course.
